OXYGEN ENZYME THERAPY

The Experience:

DMK's Oxygen Enzyme therapy is a hard setting face and body mask that is applied from the decollete, up the neck and over the face. The mask contains living enzymes that stimulate naturally occurring enzymes within the skin to accelerate the cellular processes. 

​

Upon setting it creates a downward pressure and pulsating action. That stimulates the circulatory system to pump fresh oxygenated blood throughout the capillaries, dilating them and creating a Plasmatic Effect (Plasmatic = Plasma + Blood). During the masking process the enzymes exercise the facial muscles leaving them firm and toned.  A faint pulsing sensation can be felt, which is known as the “Plasmatic Effect” which is the enzymes working their magic on your lymph nodes releasing trapped toxins. It gives the appearance of a roadmap of red capillaries particularly on the neck and decollete. It indicates nutrients from freshly oxygenated blood have been delivered to the skin cells. This essentially provides a spring clean to the skin. In addition to bringing the good it also removes the bad; detoxifying, moving stagnant blood and dead cell material through the lymphatic system.

A series of at least 3 treatments is recommended for long-term results.

What to expect during the treatment:

This treatment starts out with a deep cleanse of this skin followed by warming enzyme peel that is gommaged off the skin.  DMK’s signature Oxygen Enzyme Therapy treatment is then applied to the decollete neck and face where it sets on the skin for 45 minutes to work its magic.  During this part of the treatment we send you into a relaxed state with a scalp massage followed by an arm and hand massage with an added warming hand treatment.

What to expect after treatment:

Directly after treatment you will see the effects of the “plasmatic effect”, the dilation of the capillaries.  This fades approximately 30 minutes after treatment.  In the days following, the skin will appear brighter, more even, toned and will have a youthful healthy glow.

 

*This treatment does not include extractions or steam and cannot be added into this service.  This is a very stimulating treatment and due to the increased blood flow extractions are not advised.

How to prepare for you treatment:

• Avoid sun exposure for about a week prior to treatment

• Avoid exfoliating products, such as, scrubs, AHA + BHA (serums, moisturizers and masks) and retinol approximately 3 days before scheduled appointment

• Stop usage of topical acne medication two weeks prior to treatment

• Drinks lots of water to aid in the skin’s hydration (will help with the extraction process)

• Keep skin nourished and hydrated

• Avoid irritating products that disrupt the skin’s barrier function
